The Cave

Large shot of the cave. Also a small Winget that will inhabit this cave. Again Cave was painted by Josh Story. Not myself. I could not do that. The cave is made from cardboard covered in newspapers then covered with cheese cloth dipped in plaster then covered in plaster and smoothed out while semi wet with water and sponges. Maybe put process photos up although they are less impressive.

  1. I politely disagree- process pics are imperative because you can see the thing coming together. I can't tell you how many times I've had to refer to my blog posts to see what I made an armature out of- once it's covered, I'll sometimes forget what's in there when I'm making the next puppet.

I have a blog too, but it's easy to get distracted by posting and can lead to a cycle of not doing the stuff as much as talking about it. Still, if you stick with the blog, it will be rewarding if you post time targets for what you're working on- little goals for each day. Then, at the end of the day, you will hopefully have met it, and that's progress both documented AND accomplished. :)
